A classic Seagate design, which would continue to be developed upon with the 7200.7 and 7200.8 series.

This is most certainly one of the very last Seagate drives to use the old logo, prior to the “fingerprint” logo. These drives can also be found with the newer (now old) logo on the top plate, whilst keeping the older logo on the SeaShield.
In the ATA V series of drives, this one happens to be the largest. Yet, even being the largest it only has a meager 2 platters.
A design used for much of Seagate’s future, until the 7200.10’s. The old logo remains.
Once again, due to the presence of the SeaShield, (which adds to this drives rather heavy weight) it must first be removed in order to see the good stuff.
